Last time Napredak played against
Vojvodina it was at Karadjordje stadium in Novi Sad. At that time they
dropped the point in the last moments of the game, when nimble forward
Stojanovic, with his first goal in the season, brought a huge joy to his
team-mates and supporters. Today, the story was quite different.

In the first full season with the club
Mijatovic played against the team from which he was transferred to
Vojvodina. As one of summer domestic transfers, he put on the red-white
shirt and took his place in the playing squad as a defender. He
desperately tried to score a goal. Despite his huge ambition, this time
it wasn’t an easy job for him. In fact, he only managed to get the
yellow card.

The red-white team, who played in blue
shirts today, had only two shots on the opposite goal. One of them was
fairly decent, but far from enough to go home with a point. All three
goals were scored in the second half in just three minutes.

First of all, Napredak, the team from the
foot end of the table, take the lead after Binic whipped an out-swinging
corner kick towards the far post. The ball falls in the six-yard box and
Perovic heads home a goal (65’).

In the next minute of play, Vojvodina
equalize after Stjepanovic’s shot from a distance. The ball bounces in
front of the goalkeeper, taking the goalkeeper by surprise and lands in
the angle between the post and the crossbar (66’).

It didn’t wear down the home team. The
combative home players didn’t give up. After one minute they concede a
goal, Novkovic’s shot from the edge of the penalty area aims the left
top corner of the net, bringing his team all three points.
After that neither of the teams had any
chances to score. The home team played to the whistle and the
hard-fought game was ended with home victory by 2:1.
Away coach was a little bit on edge after
the referee blew his whistle for the last time in this game. He didn’t
want to believe what he was seeing during the match. He said that he was
disappointed with the way his team played.
