Vojvodina defeated Jagodina again

* The red-white team starts this year with a deserved away victory.

Previous season Jagodina threw away a substantial lead after Vojvodina came back from 2:0 down to draw 2:2 in the last minutes of play. Vojvodina’s fans were a lit bit on edge until a few minutes before the end of the match, but then Medojevic and Stjepanovic used their chances in Jagodina’s defending line and equalized. In the end, Vojvodina returned home undefeated. That match and one from this season were the only games where Jagodina took the points from the red white team, who still remain unbeaten by them. Afterwars, Vojvodina eliminated Jagodina in the quarter final of the National Cup, when Aboubakar scored the penultimate goal.

This season Vojvodina's defence was the most essential part of the team, who took third place on the half way of the season with 32 points, 5 conceaded goals and only one defeat.

This afternoon, Vojvodina has managed to keep Jagodina in middle of the Superliga table with a deserved 2:1 away victory.

Unlike twice before, when both teams played at Jagodina’s stadium and the condition of the ground was terrible, this afternoon the pitch was surprisingly well prepared due to extra effort that the hosts put in cleaning the remains of the snow.

Firstly, Merebasvili converted a penalty in the 32nd minute of play ( VIDEO 01 ). Just three minute later Djenic equalized, but that was all that the blue players did. Vojvodina were a better team on the field and 15 minutes to the end Brana Ilic took his chance, when he was one on one with Jagodina's goalkeeper and brought Vojvodina victory.
